Auditions for Hot Dogs, Cool Cats

Come audition for the Monticello Acting & Dance Co. (MadCo) children's theater production of Hot Dogs, Cool Cats on Saturday, March 18 or Sunday, March 19 from 2 pm to 4 pm at MadCo Studio, 185 E. Walnut Street, Monticello, FL (just South of Rev Cafe.) Please register on our website to audition: https://monticelloactingdanceco.org/index.html by filling out the online form. Must be 8 years old to audition. We need teens! No experience needed! To audition for a role, bring a song in your key. You may either bring sheet music or a digital file (bluetooth available.) Everyone will be asked to dance with a combination provided by the choreographer. If you don't have an audition song or would rather sing in the chorus or you don't know how to sing, we will provide a simple song for everyone to sing together at the audition. Hot Dogs, Cool Cats is an original musical, book by 12-year old Alexandra Brookins; script by Melanie Mays; music & lyrics by Melanie Mays and Tod Barnard. Directed, music directed, and choreographed by Melanie Mays. If you can't make the auditions on March 18 or 19, please call Melanie at 850-321-0036 to schedule a different day/time. Video auditions will also be accepted. Call for information. There is a fee to participate in the show. Rehearsals begin the first week of May. There are two shows per day June 13, 14, 16, and 17. There will be special performances at two Monticello nursing homes and the Senior Center on Thursday, June 15.
