621 Gallery is now accepting applications to the Board of Directors. We're looking to introduce new members to the Board with a passion for the arts and an interest in volunteering their time & talents as an integral part of Tallahassee's leading contemporary art center. The gallery programming includes an annual exhibition season, and a robust event schedule including musical performances, literary salons and workshops expanding the cultural offerings for the community and surrounding region. The Board of Directors provides leadership, governance, and expertise to the executive director and intern staff in gallery operations, as well as guiding strategic planning designed to advance the mission and vision of the organization.

During this Fall | 2018 recruitment season, we're looking for people with expertise in finance, accounting, business development, event planning, museum or gallery operations, programming, legal affairs, education and more! Board responsibilities include participating in planning and preparatory activities, working with collaborating organizations, and providing leadership in areas of specialization. Board members time commitment is estimated at 5 hours a week and includes attending monthly Board meetings, participating in events, fundraising, and more!
