Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC)
Under the CARES Act, Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) is available for eligible applicants who are currently receiving regular state Reemployment Assistance benefits. FPUC is an additional $600 distributed weekly in addition to state Reemployment Assistance benefits.
COVID-19 Resources for Employers and Individuals
At the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), providing state and federal resources to communities, businesses and Floridians is our top priority. In coordination with state and federal partners, resources are available to assist employers and individuals impacted by the state’s efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. To assist small businesses and their employees, loans, and short-time compensation programs to bridge the gap are available. To assist individuals, resources including Reemployment Assistance are available.

Leon CARES Local Human Services Assistance Grant Program
The Leon CARES Local Human Services Assistance Grant Program dedicates $2 million in funding to human services nonprofit organizations for unanticipated programmatic and operational expenses incurred due to COVID-19. Available funding will provide up to $20,000 of one-time assistance to nonprofit organizations that provide or intend to provide human service in Leon County in response to COVID-19.
CRA Disaster Assistance Grant Program for Small Businesses
On June 29, 2020 the City of Tallahassee Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board approved $250,000 in grant funds to assist small businesses located in the Greater Frenchtown/Southside Community Redevelopment Area (GFS District) affected by COVID-19. The program criteria and application are provided below. Applications must be submitted electronically; no paper applications will be accepted. Grants of $2,000 will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the $250,000 has been committed.

American Documentary is offering rapid response grants up to $500 to assist artists with basic needs including food, immediate health needs, and insurance premiums.
Queer Writers of Color Relief Fund
This fund is for queer writers of color who are in need of financial assistance right now.
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant
The Foundation encourages applications from visual artists who have genuine financial needs that are not necessarily catastrophic.
Pinetop Assistance League (PAL) for Elder Musicians
Helps to provide care and safety for elderly musicians at the twilight of their career.
Dramatists Guild Fund
Provides emergency financial assistance to individual playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists in dire need of funds due to severe hardship or unexpected illness.
