For the last 35 years, the Mickee Faust Club has been a haven of self-expression for the Tallahassee community. We know our voices are needed now more than ever, and we're asking for your support in sponsoring our Queer as Faust Sweet 16 Festival. With your help, we can make Tallahassee THE place of pride we know it to be with multiple levels of support, community partnership, and in-kind donation options. Katie Kole and Scott Lindeman will present exciting initiatives from Visit Tallahassee and promotional opportunities. Samantha Sumler will offer a refresher on how to use COCA services to maximize your regional footprint. This workshop is essential for organizations receiving a COCA Cultural Grant or a COCA Cultural Tourism Marketing grant, but all community arts partners are welcome. SPRING 2023 OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS — Innovate Grant is thrilled to introduce our newly increased award amounts of $1,800.00.Innovate Grant awards (2) $1,800.00 grants each quarter , to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (6) honorable mentions (3 in art and 3 in photo), will be featured on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant's commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future. Submit to COCA's "Behind the Scenes" Please fill out the following form linked below and include photos to be considered for COCA's "Behind the Scenes" albums on social media! This is a great way to get publicity for your organization or studio, and we want to make it easy for you. First, you will provide a description of your organization and upcoming events, or your studio if you are submitting this as a working artist. Then you will be asked to upload five photos and tell the community about them. When you go to add your images, please remember that we are looking for actual "Behind the Scenes" images - sets, rehearsals, sheet music, equipment, stage lights, props, manuscripts, art supplies, etc. Artists should show images of their studios where the magic happens: instruments, art supplies, etc. This is NOT the place to put publicity photos for your event. Vibrant and diverse, creative and innovative – Tallahassee’s music community has long been one of our greatest assets. "Sounds of Tallahassee" serves as a portal to the unique musical offerings that make the Big Bend region so special. In partnership with Moose Magnificat Radio and Cat Family Records, COCA offers this auditory adventure. We invite you to be part of "Sounds of Tallahassee," an initiative that promotes area musicians and connects them with new audiences. Any musician living in a 100-mile radius of Tallahassee is eligible for this opportunity. It's easy to participate, and it's FREE! Just fill out this quick form to tell Moose Magnificat Radio you want them to play your original songs on their streaming radio station. Feel free to also reach out to Cat Family Records to learn more about their booking, studio, consulting, and DIY resources. If you're not already listed, add yourself to the Artist Directory on COCA's Tallahassee Arts Guide. This service is an easy way to promote yourself to the public. Just visit www.TallahasseeArts.org, and click “register” in the upper right corner of the home page. You'll then have access to your own "Dashboard" that will allow you to add or manage your artist profile on the site. You can also add all of your performances to our calendar, and we'll promote them from the site, in newsletters, and on social media. If you are already listed in the Artist Directory, you'll want to make sure your listing is current. Check it out, and log in (upper right corner of the home page) to make edits.
