My background includes Fine Art Conservation & Antique Frame Restoration, former owner of Studio B- an art gallery located in Flat Rock, NC featuring the art of Soviet Russia (Russian Impressionist and Soviet Socialist Realism as well as other artists from around Europe), and interior design.

After a cancer diagnosis I abandoned the more formal styles of painting and opened myself up to the more freeing, and dare I say FUN way to express myself artistically by throwing myself into Acrylic Pouring, or Fluid Art. I love the unexpected aspects of this medium and my ability to manipulate what occurs to achieve the results I want (which occurs MOST of the time). After facing an ‘expiration date’ I really have learned to Go With The Flow both in my life and art!

I also love teaching this to groups both large and small and especially to those who have not experimented with this form of painting. I get such joy seeing the expressions on students faces when they see the cells come out and the magic starts happening. Abracadabra!
