The old and the new, the down ‘n dirty and the sublime …that’s Steve Sternberg’s eclectic blend of piano music. He will capture your musical heart and soul with his energetic, playful and moving songs. Sternberg entertains audiences at retirement homes throughout Florida and Alabama.  In 2002 he and another writer won the Will Mclean Foundation’s Best New Florida Song Contest.  Steve has three cds:  Honky Tonk Soulstice (1997), Shout for Joy (2005) and Hidden Jewels (2016).

Briefly describe the class(es) you offer:

With 38 years of experience teaching private music students, 14 years of experience teaching children in K-12 schools, and 45 years as a professional performer, I bring something special to your or your child's music instruction. I offer private music lessons on piano, harmonica, saxophone and flute online or in my home studio three blocks from Cascades Park in the historic Myers Park Neighborhood of Tallahassee. I teach classical, blues, boogie-woogie, rock, ragtime, pop, folk and jazz to all ages, 5-95. I can also teach chord theory and composition. I adapt to the student and his/her needs and wants.
