My name is Sandy Cannon and in my spare time I create art – mostly unique pieces of jewelry from wire, stones and beads. While I work full time, creating things are my “zen” moment. I will spend some evenings and weekends creating while still enjoying life with my other half.

I started creating jewelry sometime in 2013. I first dabbled in some very basic wire wrapping techniques, but never truly felt like I made good designs. Looking back, I didn’t like most of what I made and thought it looked really rough… but I sure was very proud of it at the time!

I yearned to learn more and get better. I knew it would take time and practice. It wasn’t too long before I stumbled upon this wire weaving technique and fell COMPLETELY in love with the process! I first taught myself with some tutorials, but it wasn’t long before I started doing by own thing. It’s the way my mind works. I have no particular plan when I start a piece other than the stone I want to use. It all simply falls into place as I let my mind and my hands just work with the flow of the piece.

Today I still continue to do the wire weaving technique, but I keep perfecting it as I go. Trying to find new and improved ways to showcase the stones I use.
