Former member of the International Typographical Union was first introduced to the art of letterpress in the 1970’s. In 2015 he opened Sangha Press located in the Railroad Square Art Park in Tallahassee Florida, the heart of the Arts District. Using centuries old printing techniques and equipment Sangha Press prints political posters, wedding invitations, coasters and stationary for the region. In 2016 the shop was remodeled and a retail shop was born. Open noon to four Wednesday thru Sunday.


Briefly describe the class(es) you offer:

Day long letterpress workshops by appointment. The typical workshop is 10 to 4 on any day you choose. Learn to hand set type by hand using materials from our collection of vintage type and then print your creation using a 1911 Chandler & Price treadle platen press and a Vandercook 219. Upon completion of the workshop you can rent press time to create your own creations. The shop is open Wednesday thru Sunday noon to four and is located at 1034 Commercial Drive in the Railroad Square Art Park.
