On 1998, at the age of 42 Elvi migrated to the U.S. and established her new home in Tallahassee, Florida where she worked with children for 14 years as an Assistant Teacher at Advent Parish Day School.
Elvi took her first painting lessons in 2011 at Lafayette Park and loved it!
Honoring the role of many women in Colombia History so their names and testimony will be remember despise the fact that the new times tend to ignore their bravery and influence in our country and beyond. As time pass I notice that is important to share the great character , generosity and courage of many Colombian women that day by day work to built a better life for them and their love ones.
