At the Couture Seamstress we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality Bridal Alterations, Custom Costumes and Sewing Classes. Our team has over 80 years of experience in everything ranging from Civil War reenactments to extravagant weddings. Although our specialty is bridal alterations, we also handle other alterations and garment creation services.

Small class size - 4-6 students per class. You may bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours. Students advance based on their own abilities. There is an annual Family & Friends Fashion Show in April each year so the students can show off their garments & projects! Classes are scheduled around the Leon County school year. Fees are to be paid per session or may be broken into 2 equal installments plus an installment fee. If a student withdraws before the end of the session, the fees will be prorated. New students are accepted at the beginning of each session (January, April & September). There are no sewing classes during the months of June, July, August & December. There is a $50 non-refundable book & pattern fee for all students participating in our Kids & Teen classes. It will be the responsibility of the student to provide the fabrics and notions for all projects. This fee is due upon enrollment or when the student advances to the next level. It normally takes about 9 months per level. Tuition is due on or before the 1st class of every session. Session 1 starts in September, Session 2 in January and Session 3 in April. If fees are paid in installments, the installment must be made on or before the 1st class of the first and 2nd month. Please provide 14 days notice if student wishes to withdraw from classes. There are no makeups or credits for missed classes unless the missed class is due to absence of the instructor; then the instructor will provide a makeup during the session timeframe. Please note: there must be a minimum of 3 students enrolled in the class or it will be cancelled.
