Kim McShane is a coach, writer, speaker, and entrepreneur with Kimprovise, a consultancy empowering people to apply the techniques of improvisational theater to their everyday lives—careers, relationships, even wardrobes. Her childhood team sport was musical theater, and she never really stopped playing dress-up. Passionately committed to making a spectacle of herself, Kim learned her craft in community theater productions and four seasons with the Second City Improv Training Institute. She has appeared on stage with Cabarisqué, Quincy Music Theatre, Murder for Dinner, Musical Actors Theatre Vegas, and as a coordinator and costumed performer at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel (where she often wore a showgirl outfit at work). She’s also said "Yes, and..." to a lot of amazing opportunities—as a radio and club DJ, a reader in the Favorite Poem Project with Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, a contestant on Jeopardy! with Alex Trebeck, and a guest programmer on Turner Classic Movies with Robert Osborne. Hers is a never-ending quest for truth, glamour, and the perfect feather boa.

Kalen Mercer

Multi-instrumentalist Kalen Mercer preaches his message to the audience through his challenging compositions. With his band, Kalen Mercer and the Mercernaries, he creates energetic and electric soundscapes. He has regularly worked with artists and groups such as Adam Hendley’s Urban Soul, Tyler Lee (of Fungle Junk), and Sway Jah Vu. He has also performed with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra Jazz, Heather Gillis, Chilled Monkey Brains, and Bobby Foster and the Aristocats. Kalen's music has been broadcasted live on WVFS 89.7 Tallahassee and WCOT City of Tallahassee. He has appeared at venues such as Side Bar Theatre, Rio Carabelle, Backwoods Bistro, Nefetari’s Fine Cuisine & Spirits, Level 8 Lounge, and the Oglesby Union Amphitheatre. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he has spent most of his life in Central Florida. He learned to walk by dancing to the music of Celine Dion and was given a guitar at the age of 4. He continued to learn music and joined the middle school band, where he was introduced to clarinet and, a year later, saxophone at the age of 14. In his formative years he participated in All-County and All-State bands and his local church’s music ministry. As a senior in high school he won the prestigious Louis Armstrong Award. He attends Florida State University, where he studies with William Kennedy. Kalen will finish his Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on Jazz Studies in May 2016. He plays funk, jazz, pop, and soul music frequently around Tallahassee, FL and neighboring cities and states on saxophone, clarinet, flute, and keyboards.

Karen Mercer

Karen first started drawing as a child. Her favorite subjects were birds. All kinds of birds; birds in flight, birds eating worms, birds with huge plumage. At 10 she began copying, line for line the works of Michelangelo and da Vinci. It wasn't until after years of oil and acrylic painting, followed by charcoal figure drawing and award winning work in cake decorating that Karen brought her skills to face painting. As an award winning face painter Karen, mother of 5, excells at entertaining the young and young at heart with her captivating personality, dazzling face painting and story telling skills. You can find her at all the local festivals in and around Tallahassee, Florida including Georgia's Mule days, Tallahassee's Winter Festival and First Friday's Art Walks, Havana's Pumpkin Festival and is the exclusive Face Painter for Lofty Pursuit's birthday parties. Donna Meredith

Clarksburg, WV, native Donna Meredith lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with her husband John. Her award-winning novels include The Glass Madonna, The Color of Lies, Wet Work, and Fraccidental Death. She also wrote the nonfiction book Magic in the Mountains: Kelsey Murphy, Robert Bomkamp, and the West Virginia Cameo Glass Revolution. Her work has appeared in the Tallahassee Democrat, Tallahassee magazine, Goldenseal, Seven Hills Review and Southern Literary Review. She graduated from Fairmont State College, West Virginia University, and Nova Southeastern University and studied creative writing at Florida State. She taught English and journalism in public high schools in West Virginia and Georgia.

Lindsay Merwin

Lindsay Merwin is an Orlando artist. She recently graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Studio Art with a focus on Painting and Figure. Her education also includes a summer in Florence, Italy, where she studied Florentine Renaissance and the Italian language. Much of her work is inspired by pop culture, nature, people, and animals. She has exhibited her work at Mills Gallery, St. Augustine Art Association, and Orlando Museum of Art, as well as other establishments, such as Quantum Leap Winery, CityArts Factory, Leesburg Center for the Arts, Lake County Museum of Art, & Mount Dora Center for the Arts. I am an emerging, innovative live painter, specializing in a unique genre that I call "plein air sports art." My recent efforts have been focused on Ironman triathlons, where I capture athletes in motion against the iconic scenery of the race course. My other favorite subjects to paint include live bands, festival scenes, and the majestic trees of North Florida. In my four years as a professional artist, I have completed over 500 paintings, including more than 100 live painting performances. When I am not painting, I am probably playing outside or trying to finish my Philosophy dissertation. I expect to obtain a PhD from FSU in 2020.

Deanna Squeaky Miller

Tallahassee native Deanna Squeaky Miller is an Indie inspirational artist. Her love for God, people and music has been her ministry from the start. Deanna’s debut single, “Give to You Love” was released in August 2015. This was the introduction of an amazing voice no one will forget. Followed by two latest singles “Keep on Praying ” and ” Good Medicine”, Deanna established her skills as a songwriter and arranger. Her stage presence and way with an audience, opened doors of opportunity to perform on a variety of stages, work with some of the Big Bend’s most respected artists, musicians, producers and gained an award-winning title in Neo Soul Category of Prayze Factor People’s Choice Awards, based in Atlanta, GA. Even though gospel music is her root, she can’t holdback the ability to vocalize a diverse style of genres. The jazz-soul influences of Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald is clear in her music. Being active in the community is a call of duty for the artist. Deanna has and continues to share her voice for great charities in the Big Bend area. The long term goal is to be an international philanthropist of music.
