The Cross-Cultural Coalition (CCC) is located within the Railroad Square Art Park in the Greater Frenchtown/Southside Community Redevelopment Area (as officially designated by the City of Tallahassee) between FSU and FAMU.  CCC believes that the arts and humanities play a central and integral role in the lives of all people, and are essential to the health and vitality of our community. Our mission is to serve, advance and lead the alliance represented by the Coalition:  the organizations and individuals in and outside the Art Park who cultivate, promote, sustain and support arts and culture. Our goals are: 1) to help small and minority individuals and groups build an environment where the arts, history and culture – and education about them – thrive, and 2) to provide individual awareness of and appreciation for the value of the arts and ethnic/cultural understanding.  The Coalition provides free, exciting and educational cultural events, including two major festivals:  ArtiGras in the Spring and Caribé in the Fall.  These festivals unite and celebrate culture and community in all of their forms, and bring together various geographically disparate communities with shared roots, to create a stronger sense of togetherness and belonging.  Our monthly events include First Friday, Second Saturday Jazz, Second Sunday Songwriters, and Third Thursday Literary Night.  CCC produced the First Annual Sankofa Concert at Cascades Amphitheater (moved to the Moon due to rain) on July 6th, and also recently produced a Benefit Concert for the Bahamas at the Moon that raised thousands for victims of Dorian in Abaco and Grand Bahama.
