Holiday on the Harbor & Boat Parade of Lights

Holiday on the Harbor & Boat Parade of Lights

Presented by Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce at Downtown Carrabelle

The Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 2017 Holiday on the Harbor Street Festival and Boat Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 9 from 2 - 9 pm in beautiful downtown Carrabelle.

Holiday on the Harbor will feature a street festival presenting terrific children’s activities like visits with Santa and his elves, bouncy houses, face painting, portrait with a pony, and a mini-train ride. This event will also include yummy holiday treats, vendors with delicious food and wonderful products for holiday gifts, and special music. The majority of the festivities will take place along the Carrabelle Harbor near Marine Street.  Admission to Holiday on the Harbor is free but we will still be accepting new, unwrapped toys for Toys For Tots at the Welcome Tent. Be sure to stop by the tent to register for your chance to win $1,000 and a lovely three foot Santa for your home or business! Public parking is available at First Baptist Church (corner of Hwy 98 & NE 1st Street), Marine Street south of Avenue C or George Sands Park.

This year our holiday celebrations continue to expand with activities at a variety of locations in Carrabelle. The Carrabelle Artist Association will be wrapping up its month-long Holiday Art Show at Rio Carrabelle with local artists giving demonstrations on Saturday.  Also, downtown Carrabelle merchants will be open during the festival with holiday specials.

Enjoy an afternoon and evening of food, festivities, and fun. Watch the amazing parade of festive boats decked out in Christmas lights and decor followed by a fantastic fireworks display courtesy of the Carrabelle CRA! The parade starts at approximately 6:15 pm and proceeds along the Carrabelle River and Harbor between the Fishing Pavilion on Marine Street & the Tillie Miller Bridge on US 98 so it can be enjoyed from many viewing spots along the route. Singer, Debi Jordan, and emcee, Chuck Spicer, will appear at C-Quarters at 5:30 pm with music, commentary and the boat parade awards ceremony. And don’t miss the Christmas carol sing along at C-Quarters Marina – including songs unique to Carrabelle - after the fireworks and before the award ceremony. Following the sing along, the boat parade trophies for each boat category and the Marina Challenge Trophy, complete with a year’s worth of braggin’ rights will be awarded.
