It was born on Halloween, 1987…and it lives on in 2017. The Mickee Faust Club keeps you laughing and squirming with original skits, songs, and really awful jokes!
Thirty years ago, on Halloween, a giant, foul-mouthed, cigar-puffing, trouble-making rat of indeterminate gender, emerged from a sewer pipe at The Warehouse, the pool hall on Gaines Street. The rat’s name was Mickee Faust. Mickee, embittered by the undeserved good fortune of his unctuous twin in Orlando, hooked up with a swarm of like-minded, disgruntled provocateurs. Calling themselves the Faustkateers, they vowed “World Media Domination!” And immediately set to work creating an evening of cabaret-styled theater called Skitz From Hell. It would, they fancied, bring them instant international fame. Or at least recognition at the local grocery store.
This October, Faust celebrates its continued existence with “Faust or Famine,” a compilation of original skits, music and video designed to make you laugh and squirm at the same time. Preshow music by Eclectic Acoustic in the backyard, ice cold beverages, and a really raucous show featuring old favorites and new gems!
