Thursday, September 21st, 2017, at 7:30 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church
The United Nations General Assembly has established September 21 as the International Day of Peace, and to celebrate this day of non-violence and cease-fire, AVoice4Peace seeks to unite choirs from around the world to sing one song: Ukuthula, a traditional African hymn for peace.
On Thursday, September 21, 2017, Dr. Kevin Fenton and the combined voices of the FSU Chamber Choir and University Singers will present a performance of The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins, and will then join choirs from around the world via livestream to sing Ukuthula.
This choral celebration of peace and non-violence will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21. Admission is free and all audiences are welcome.
