This hilarious musical, based on the hit 1980’s film and with music by Dolly Parton, pits three ambitious and fed-up working girls against their egotistical, sexist boss.
Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she? 9 to 5: the Musical is based on the 1980 hit movie, with music by Dolly Parton.
Presented by Theatre Tallahassee. All Theatre Tallahassee shows run for three weekends and open on a Thursday night at 8 pm and run Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. 9 to 5: The Musical runs August 24-September 10, 2017.
