The tradition continues … FSU musicians and others join to create a fun musical event that everyone can enjoy. In Portuguese, Roda is pronounced “Hoda.” If it doesn’t make you want to dance, check your pulse. No cover.
Brazilian choro music is played in an informal setting by a number of musicians from FSU's World Music Ensembles program and led by Dr. Michael Bakan on percussion. This is music that will make you think of samba, maybe bossa nova, Afro-Carib music, jazz, classical, even ragtime ... all play a part in this unique and captivating genre of music.
