Arts Entrepreneur Coffee Talk

Arts Entrepreneur Coffee Talk

Presented by Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) at COCA - Council on Culture & Arts

Join COCA every month for an informal get together for Art Entrepreneurs - "Artpreneurs"!

We want to offer a supportive space for the Artpreneur community to come together to share their goals, challenges, and achievements. Everyone could use a little support in their lives and we are happy to help contribute. Artpreneur Coffee Talks will be held on the third Friday of each month.

This month's coffee talk will feature local freelance photographer Matt Burke.

With over a decade of ups & downs in the photography industry, Matt Burke has made an art out of Trial & Error.

Matt is a former staff photographer for Tallahassee Magazine, 850 Business Magazine, and Emerald Coast Magazine, all based right here in town. Aside from his editorial and photojournalism for the magazines, he has had a successful freelance career in the music world working with bands like Radiohead, Blink182, Mayday Parade, and others for magazines, merchandise, record covers, and so on. While not working on music images, his behind the scenes work included weddings, portraiture and a whole lot of self portraits.

On October 20th, Matt will be at COCA sharing his experiences in the art world for everyone in attendance. While it will be an informative presentation, it’ll also be very truthful & honest about the trials and tribulations that we all face as freelance artists these days.

This presentation will be an open dialogue, so if you’ve got any questions at all, you’re welcome to shout them out in real time to open up a discussion.

This coffee talk will be energized by Journeyman Coffee!
