Two Time Florida & North Carolina Banjo Champion, Mary Z. Cox, is a third generation Floridian who is dedicated to banjo and old-time music. Her maternal granddad, a professional banjoist from St. Joe, Missouri, inspired her early interest in the banjo. She'll be inspiring us at Blue Tavern to celebrate the release of her latest CD, joined by old-time fiddler Tim Gardner.
