The Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs invites you to enjoy Arts and Culture Day during the 2017 Legislative Session with this outdoor, live art event involving area high school students.
Inspired by master Florida artists, local high school students will create 36"x36" chalk artworks to share with the community. Students will work in an outdoor area between the House and Historic Capitol (north end of the courtyard) from 10:00-3:30 and the finished artworks will be judged by board members from the Florida Council on Arts and Culture. The general public can choose their favorite artwork through a People’s Choice Vote at 4:0o. Awards will be announced at 4:30. Please come out to congratulate all the students artists involved and to show the 2017 Legislators that you support arts and culture.
