Young Poets Flourish at the Knott House Museum (Grades 6-8)

Presented by Knott House Museum at Knott House Museum

Session 2:  Grades 6 to 8—July 17–21; 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Young Poets’ Showcase”—Friday, July 21, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

With an array of creative activities, our summer poetry workshops help young people refine their writing skills, read and evaluate poetry by respected authors, and find their own voice as a poet. Students work with a local English teacher as well as museum staff to find inspiration in the historic Knott House daily. Then, participants share their work with family and friends during an evening poetry reading that also includes a well-known local poet.
