Unity Eastside Church in Tallahassee is joining Unity churches all over the world in hosting a screening of a new documentary film. “A Sound Called Unity: The Twelve Powers,” directed by New York Times best-selling author and award-winning filmmaker James Twyman, is based on the spiritual classic “The Twelve Powers of Man,” which was written by Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore. The film will be shown on Sunday, January 22, at 12 noon in the church’s sanctuary at 8551 Buck Lake Road. Admission will be $10 per person.

In “A Sound Called Unity: The Twelve Powers,” insights on each of Fillmore’s Twelve Powers—attributes that we are called to develop as we progress on our spiritual journey—are shared by more than 30 well-known Unity ministers including Rev. Ed Townley, who produced the film. The documentary also follows Twyman as he travels to Syria to host a synchronized meditation involving millions of people from around the world on February 1, 2016. Its purpose was to send a massive blessing into the war zone—a new kind of extremism—based on the laws of love.

The film is sure to be an instant classic and a great resource for churches to use in sharing Fillmore’s teachings for decades to come. It is the first of three films on Unity topics that Twyman is making over the next several years. The series is entitled “A Sound Called Unity.” The next documentary will be based on the movement’s Five Basic Principles. Nearly every Unity church around the world will host screenings of the films.
