Shaped by Society

Presented by School of Dance at FSU at Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre

Herman Ramos is set to complete his 5 year run as a student of dance at Florida State University. In partial fulfillment of the Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance, Herman will present his concert thesis Shaped by Society:

Friday and Saturday November 18-19, 2016 at 8:00 p.m.
The Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre
Montgomery Hall, FSU School of Dance
130 Collegiate Loop, Tallahassee, FL

The 3 works that make Shaped by Society, look at the aspects of dance within American capitalism that have heavily influenced Herman’s current choreographic aesthetic and training. FSU movers with and without dance seeking degrees are asked to provide a dynamic mixture of precision choreography, emotional duress, and breakdance. FSU student and DJ/producer Kristopher Apollo Barnett has provided the entire sound score. Be sure to visit his soundcloud page for more beats: https://soundcloud.com/big-kris
