The Longest Table

The Longest Table

Presented by City of Tallahassee - Office of Mayor Andrew Gillum, The Village Square, Leadership Tallahassee, Leon County at In homes and public spaces around the Tallahassee community

Last October, we hosted the first Longest Table dinner in the middle of Park Avenue in Downtown Tallahassee. That evening, over 400 citizens came out, shared a meal with people they did not know, and shared conversation around things that were important to them in our community at one continuous table.

In efforts to continue this tradition, we are preparing for the next phase of The Longest Table, which will take place on June 26th. We are taking the same concept, but breaking the conversations into smaller dinners of 6-8 citizens in over 100 homes and public spaces around our community. These collective dinner tables will serve to grow the spirit and mission of the initiative, and allow for the program to engage more community members.

As we look forward to breaking bread with the citizens of Tallahassee, and the impactful conversations to take place in the homes of the incredible people in our community: We Need Your Help! Please consider registering for this exciting opportunity, and help us build on this new Tallahassee tradition!
