Extending from standard classical repertoire to world music, new music and their own creative arrangements, Cosmos New Music presents colorful and engaging performances. The members bring unique perspective and sound originating from different nationalities: Brazil, Japan, Russia, Thailand, and Turkey.

Cosmos is comprised of five rising performers- Ayça Çetin (flute), Katsuya Yuasa (clarinet), Pedro Maia (violin), Aleksandra Pereverzeva (cello), and Thaya Kongpakpaisarn (piano). Members decided to join forces to form a chamber group while working as the graduate assistants and pursuing Doctoral program at Florida State University. Each member has extensive performance experience and has won competitions, most notably the 2014 YamahaYoung Performing Artist Competition, 2015 Boston Woodwind Society Competition, Rotary Club Piano Competition, 2012 MTNA Competition, 2016 Great Composers International Competition, and 2017 Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition. They have appeared in national and international conventions and festivals, such as Aspen Music Festival, National Flute Association, British Flute Society, Estonian Glasperlenspiel Music Festival, Bremen Music Festival and Usedom Music Festival, and performed in United States and beyond, including Austria, England, Italy, Norway, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Kosovo, Turkey, United States, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Japan, and Taiwan.

Striving to deepen musical appreciation and share their dynamic creativity, Cosmos performs at a variety of venues for diverse audiences. Core values include: uncompromising artistic excellence, engagement with diverse communities, innovative programming and artistic vision, and collaborative musicianship. This season 2017-18, the ensemble is preparing for regional, national, and international tour in Mexico, Chile, Turkey, among more while continuing their graduate studies in Florida.
