Gaines Street Public Art Walk

Walkers check out the doors at Renditions Gallery in Railroad Square

Outdoor art abounds in Tallahassee! Get up close and personal with a stroll through one of our community’s most creative enclaves. The route will introduce you to dozens of examples of public art along Gaines Street, in the All Saints District, the Railroad Square Art District, Art Alley, and around the immediate surrounding area.

This walk will get your heart pumping and give you a glimpse of the area’s creative treasures. Starting at the Birds Bus Shelter on Gaines Street, the route will take you past numerous fun, quirky, and iconic pieces that make the All Saints District and Railroad Square Art District unique. This walking route promotes a healthy lifestyle and offers residents and visitors the opportunity to experience and appreciate our outdoor public art.

The route is approximately 2 miles and it highlights more than 60 pieces of art.

Public parking is available on the street and in the lot between W. Madison and Gaines Street. There is an entrance on Bronough St. and another on Duval Street.

Public restrooms are available along the route. The course includes slight inclines, occasional uneven sidewalks, and stairs. This route is not easily accessible for those who use wheel chairs or strollers. Though alternative access exists for locations with stairs, those areas have not been included on the route map.
