Turning Pointe: The Tallahassee Ballet's Summer Intensive

Faculty and staff of The Tallahassee Ballet, with special guest artists and master teachers, provide a full range of excellent dance training in ballet, repertoire, pointe, classical variations, contemporary, hip hop and body conditioning. Classes focus on the proper alignment and posture of classical dance with an emphasis on musicality, style and expression.

YOUNG DANCEMAKER’S WORKSHOP (Dancers ages 11-14)

The YDM Workshop includes four classes a day: Ballet Technique, Contemporary/ Hip Hop, Repertory, and Conditioning.

POINTE for YOUNG DANCEMAKER’S (Dancers ages 12+*)
Instructors: Lauren Anderson and Mel Tomlinson
June 6-17, 2016
2:30-3:45pm
Intensive class for dancers who are at least 12 years old with at least one full year of pointe training. Students will be engaged in a serious study of ballet terminology, proper execution of intermediate steps, and various classical enchainment. Requirement: Must be enrolled in Young Dancemaker’s Workshop.
Tuition: Non-Company Member $250 Company Member $200
*Younger TTB company members may attend by invitation only.

ADVANCED DANCE MAKER’S WORKSHOP (Dancers ages 15+)
Instructors: Lauren Anderson, Kai Michael, Sarah Roberts, Mel Tomlinson

10am-3:30pm
The ADM Workshop includes four dance classes a day: Ballet Technique, Ballet Repertory, Jazz/Contemporary, and Jazz/Contemporary Repertory. Dancers will be challenged with the most intense program of instruction. This is a rigorous workshop for the most serious of dance students.
