Chalk Walk 2017

The Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs invites you to enjoy Arts and Culture Day during the 2017 Legislative Session with this outdoor, live art event involving area high school students.

Inspired by master Florida artists, local high school students will create 36"x36" chalk artworks to share with the community. Students will work in an outdoor area between the House and Historic Capitol (north end of the courtyard) from 10:00-3:30 and the finished artworks will be judged by board members from the Florida Council on Arts and Culture. PARKING INFO

The Historic Capitol is located in the Capitol Complex, at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and South Monroe Street. Although the museum does not have dedicated parking, there are several parking lots in the area. There is a large public parking garage in Kleman Plaza, close to the Capitol Complex. When the legislature is in session, parking can be especially challenging. Spaces for visitors with disabilities are located on west side of the House Office Building in the north side loading zone.
