6 Week Glass Fusing class

A perfect class for beginners! Our 6 Week Glass Fusing classes are suitable for ages 16 and older and include scheduled class time with instruction as well as open studio hours for practice, use of studio tools, and equipment.

The 6 Week Glass Fusing class is challenging, fun, and the possibilities are endless! This class focuses on techniques such as glass cutting, pattern design, slumping, and casting. Learn how to fuse layers of glass in a kiln create your own unique dishes, jewelry, or artwork. Students will explore the properties of fused glass as an art-making material.

Instructor provides individual guidance for all levels of experience with special attention to newcomers. Experienced patrons may pursue independent projects with permission from the instructor. The upcoming session offers Glass Fusing on Wednesdays from 5:30-8:00p.

Course Fee: Course fee includes scheduled class time with instruction as well as open studio hours for practice, use of studio tools, and equipment. Discounts are given to students, faculty, and staff associated with Florida State University (discounts require FSU ID).

Additional Fees: All materials are included in the course fee.

Registration: Registration occurs in person at the Oglesby Union Art Center or by mail with inclusion of appropriate fee. You must be preregistered to attend our classes. Registration is available for until second week of classes pending availability.

Make-up Classes:  Make-up classes are not offered for the Glass Fusing class. The instructor will assist any student who needs to discuss the possibility of missing class.
