Art in the Park is a part of the annual Rose Show and Festival and will be held Saturday, April 29th , 2017 from 10:00am-4:00pm. It is an outdoor arts, crafts and food fair that features several different family friendly activities. Art in the Park attracts approximately 2,500 visitors each year. It is an outdoor event in Paradise Park, which is within walking distance from Thomasville’s historic Downtown. Vendors will be selected based on the needs of the festival. Completed application and/or prior year participation does not guarantee event acceptance. Info booth type entries are not permitted.
Arts and Crafts Vendor Regulations
Application deadline: March 20, 2017. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.
Art in the Park is open to artisans selling their own handcrafted and original work.
This is not a “buy-sell” show. Items that are manufactured or commercially packaged products will not be permitted (this includes but is not limited to: mass produced ceramics, bedspreads, comforters, etc.).
The art and craft exhibitor booth fee is $100. Booth fees are non-refundable. This includes vendor drop outs, event cancellation due to weather and other unforeseen events.
Please do not mail fees with application. Fees will be collected from accepted vendors at a later date.
Completed application must include: 1 current photo of exhibitor’s booth and at least 2 photos of the items requested to be sold during the show. ALL exhibitors must submit photos, even if they have submitted and been accepted in the past.
Each booth space is 15’ wide and 15’ deep. All booths are outdoors; shady spots cannot be guaranteed.
The City of Thomasville reserves the right to limit the number of applicants with similar art mediums.
All items requested to be sold during the show must be listed on the application.
Exhibitors must supply their own tents, tables, chairs, and displays as needed. (Tents with weight provisions, tie downs, etc. are strongly encouraged, as this is an outdoor event.)
All tables (both display and supply) are required to be covered with floor length coverings to hide table legs, supplies, boxes, etc.
Exhibitors are responsible for collecting and paying Georgia sales tax.
Parking will not be permitted at booths during the operating hours of the show. A designated exhibitor parking area will be provided and a limited number of parking passes will be issued to each vendor. Volunteers will be on site to assist with restocking needs.
Booth set-up begins on Saturday, April 29th at 7:00 a.m. All vehicles must be removed from the event area by 9:00am. Show opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29th .
The festival officials reserve the right to change booth location assignments as needed for any reason. Vendors who have set up in an area not assigned to them and without prior approval by on-site staff will be required to move to their assigned space.
Booth spaces are reassigned each year; we cannot guarantee same placement as previous years.
Exhibitors may not break down their booths until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29th .
Electricity is limited and will be available by request when possible. You will be notified ahead of time regarding the availability of electricity. Any exhibitor not abiding by the regulations set forth will forfeit their privilege to participate in current and future shows.
