Rachel Saunders

My name is Rachel Saunders and I am currently an Art Student at Florida State University working on getting my BA in Studio Art with a focus in painting. My preferred medium is oil paint because there is so much room for experimentation and growth. Finding words to describe yourself as an artist can sometimes be a difficult thing to do. Generally when I cant find the right way to describe a feeling or a moment, I turn to art as an outlet. I am deeply drawn to nature and this connection is seen in most of my work. I am interested in exploring the coexistence of man vs nature and how they hurt and help each other. There will always be something begging for creation and my job as an artist is to discover it.
